Speakday is a platform for live speaking practice. You book a session, get matched with another learner, talk for 25 minutes on a shared topic, and get personalized AI feedback when you're done.

A tutor teaches you; Speakday makes you speak. Instead of a few minutes in a class or texting in an app, you get 25 full minutes of real conversation with a real person. You prepare with questions and practice tasks before the call, and AI feedback with practice tasks after it shows exactly what to improve. It's the missing step between knowing English and speaking it.

No. Speakday matches you with another learner for every session — you just show up at the time you booked.

That's normal, and your partner is a learner too. Every room has a shared topic, 6 prepared questions, useful phrases and tips, so there's always something to say. You can also see the questions before the call and prepare.

Open the session in your Timetable before it starts. You'll see the discussion questions, useful phrases, vocabulary, idioms, a grammar tip and short practice tasks to warm up.

Several times a day, every day. All times in the Timetable are shown in your local time, so just pick one that fits your day.

Go to Timetable, choose a session and click "Book seat". You'll see it in your list with a countdown to the start.

Yes. Open the session and click "Cancel seat".

The session is marked as "Missed" in your Timetable. Just book the next one.

The room opens 10 minutes before the session starts. Click "Enter session", check your mic and camera on the pre-join screen, then click "Join now".

Each conversation lasts 25 minutes and has one topic with 6 questions. You move through the questions together with "Previous" and "Next". A timer shows how much time is left.

Speak English only, even when it feels hard. Be kind and patient. Share the speaking time. Listen actively and react to your partner. No recording or sharing — what is said in the room stays in the room. Report problems instead of arguing in the call.

If your partner doesn't join, you'll be matched with another available learner, or you can book the next session.

No. Camera is optional, but conversations feel more natural with it on. You can also use a background effect.

Tips for each question, a text chat, screen sharing, background effects and Focus mode, which hides the tips when you just want to talk.

Use the "Report" button next to your partner's name during the conversation. Our team reviews every report.

After every conversation, AI analyzes how you spoke and gives you a score out of 100 with feedback on fluency, accuracy, clarity and confidence — plus specific points like grammar you missed and vocabulary to use next time. You also get practice tasks based on your own mistakes, so you can fix them before the next conversation.

Shortly after the conversation ends. Open the "AI Feedback" tab, or click "View feedback" next to the session in your Timetable.

Yes, but only to create your AI feedback. Recordings are private and automatically deleted after 30 days. They are never published or shared with other members.

Only you. Your partner sees their own feedback, not yours.

No. Recording or sharing the conversation is not allowed. The only recording is the one used for AI feedback.

Feedback needs enough speech to analyze. If the conversation was very short, your mic was off, or your partner didn't join, feedback may not be generated.

The leaderboard ranks learners by the number of conversations they complete. You can view it for this week, this month or all time.

Your weekly goal is 5 conversations. The goal bar on your Timetable fills up as you complete sessions during the week.

Your streak counts how many days in a row you practice. Miss a day and it starts again.

Click "Add friend" next to your partner's name during a conversation. Friend chat and friend requests are coming soon.

Share your invite link from your Timetable so your friends can join and practice with you.

Yes. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period. We email you a reminder 3 days before every renewal — for example, on the 1-month plan you'll get it 3 days before your next month starts.

Go to your profile settings and cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again.

No, we don't offer refunds. If you don't want to continue, cancel before your next renewal — we'll remind you 3 days in advance.

You can pay with a bank card. All debit and credit cards are supported.

A computer or phone with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox), a stable internet connection and a microphone. Headphones and a quiet place make a big difference.

No. Speakday works in your browser. Just allow access to your microphone and camera when asked.

Not yet — a mobile app is planned. For now, you can join from your phone's browser.

Before you join, the pre-join screen shows your camera preview and a mic level meter. You can choose a different microphone, speaker or camera there.

Check that your mic isn't muted and the right device is selected. Close other apps using the mic, move closer to your Wi-Fi, or turn off your camera to save bandwidth. If it continues, leave and rejoin the room.
