Getting started with Speakday

Speakday arranges 20-minute one-on-one conversations between people worldwide, where you get to have discussions with someone from another country on various topics. The goal is to make finding language partners and engaging in conversations simple and enjoyable, without wasting time.

To join Speakday, follow these steps:

  • 1. Go to Speakday.com and sign up. Be sure to verify your Email Address.
  • 2. Book any conversation from the Timetable page
  • 3. Visit the Timetable page 10 minutes before the conversation starts. The "Cancel" button will automatically turn into the "Enter" button, and you can enter the meeting room by clicking on it.

Important details:

  • Minimum English level: Pre-Intermediate
  • Ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet place for effective communication.
  • All times are displayed in your local time zone on the website's timetable page.

Choose a conversation that suits your interests and book it. The meeting lasts for 20 minutes and includes 6 engaging questions.

Start speaking

Once you're in the main room, you'll be divided into breakout rooms and engage in 1-on-1 conversations with different people. Explore interesting topics with individuals from all around the world!

Speakday is really good at solving common problems for people all around the world who want to practice their speaking skills with someone. It's not always easy to find the right person to talk to, come up with things to talk about, and figure out when to meet. And if you keep talking to the same person for a long time, it can get boring, and you might get used to how they talk.

But with Speakday, you don't have to worry about these issues. Just join our community, and we'll help you find the right people to practice with, suggest topics to talk about, and make scheduling easy. It makes practicing a language more fun and effective.

Currently, we offer English but we will be including other languages soon. We would appreciate it if you let us know which languages you would like to see on our site.

We use Zoom for our Conversation Club. Download Zoom onto your device and test your connection, audio and mic before joining the class.

Premium subscription and billing

The Premium membership on Speakday offers you full access to all the conversations on the platform.You have the option to pick from various plans to become a Premium member, which you can explore here.These plans allow you to pay in advance for 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months with Speakday.

It's important to note that your subscription with Speakday will automatically renew at the end of the chosen period unless you decide to cancel the renewal.

We would be very sorry to see you leave!

But if you want to cancel your subscription with Speakday, these are the steps to follow:

You need to log into our website again, go to Profile > Subscription, and press the button to cancel the subscription. This means that it won't renew at the end of the period you have already paid for. You can still access our Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for.

A Premium subscription is paid in advance for a certain period of time. If you decide to cancel your subscription, you actually cancel the renewal of your subscription. This means, that since you paid in advance, you can still access the Premium features until the end of the period already paid for, but you won't be charged again.Your access to Premium will end after your current subscription.

We accept most credit/debit cards.

At the end of your subscription, your payment with Speakday will renew automatically unless you cancel the renewal.

You need to log into our website again, go to Profile > Subscription
